Our favorite home made snack with cheese. Easy to make and easy to eat. You can't stop eating them!
Most of the time I make two or three portions. Here is the ingredients for one portion.
For the dough:
12 dkg soft cooking margarine
25 dkg all purpose flour
1 dl milk
salt
The filling:
12 dkg melted cooking margarine
15 dkg grated cheese
You mix together the flour, margarine, milk and salt to a nice and smooth texture in a mixing bowl with your hand. When the ingredients stacked together you can carry on on a floured kitchen top. You will have something like this and if you made more than one portion now you can cut in pieces.
I had three because I made three portion. From one portion you will have a smaller ball and you don't need to cut.
Use a rolling pin to roll out the dough for 3 mm thin. In the meanwhile melt the margarine and add the grated cheese, mix them together and spread evenly the top of the dough.
When you done, roll them up and put in the fridge for 30-40 minutes. I made one with cheese and margarine spread on it and one with extra bacon on it, thin cut streaky bacon.
After the cooling process, have a sharp knife and start slice them, like 3-4 mm thin. Place them on a baking paper covered baking tray. Not to far from each other and bake on 200 degrees them until golden brown.
It is nice to eat them warm, but is not so crispy, but you don't need to wait too long to be cold. It taste better and crispier after 15-30 minutes.
